Vehicule bus system with redundant links

The system has a controller (2) and a communications device (14) with which a communications connection can be made between the controller and at least two module units (5-8) for converting the control commands of the controller into actuator signals for associated actuators. The communications device has a line arrangement (23) that connects the controller directly to a first module unit and then from the first module unit via any further module units to an end module unit, at which it terminates.
