Motor cover for lawnmower

The motor bonnet (1) for a lawn mower, particularly one on which the operator sits, has a basic body (2) and a cover (3) between which is a ventilation slot (4) extending at least partly all-round. The ventilation slot, in plan view, has a U-shape. The ventilation slot is limited by an edge (6) of the cover (3) and has a length particularly of 75 per cent to 85 per cent of the length of the cover edge. The cover edge engages over the basic body.
