Fixation of an open roof construction for a vehicle

A roof assembly for a vehicle having an opening (2) in its fixed roof (1), comprises a frame (4) to be fixed to the roof. The frame has at least one part (5) that is made of plastic and includes a metal cover plate (10) covering at least a portion thereof. The frame is fixed to the vehicle roof by connection means (12-15), engaging through a passage opening (16) in said plastic part of the frame and through a hole (18) in a metal part extending through the passage opening. The cover plate (10) is extended beyond the passage opening (16) in the frame (5) and is provided with said hole (18) in register with the passage opening (16) in the frame and with a depression (17) surrounding the hole in order to function as the metal part.
