Electrical park brake device

When an operating switch (5) is activated a control unit (4) directs actuators (3) to turn steering wheels (2) in opposite senses such that a toe in effect is produced to give effective parking braking. The control unit which normally responds to the driver and certain vehicle parameters suspends operation during the parking period and then resumes on vehicle restart.
