The column (1) is assembled of several telescopic segments (3, 5, 7, 9, 11) and is normally stored laterally beside the frame of the loading area during transport. The joint element (10) attached to the tipper is provided with a surrounding seal positioned in a circular groove (29) at the inner surface of inner segment (13) and inserted into the space provided inside the folded column (1) during transport in order to prevent the segments (4, 5, 7, 9, 11) from moving inside and against each other.
