Security system

The security system has a first transceiver, especially associated with a vehicle, for communications with a second transceiver associated with a portable controller via a bi-directional radio path, whereby the transceivers have associated antennas, of which at least one can be variably adjusted in respect of its range in hardware and/or software, especially using a microcomputer or microcontroller.
