Remote Control System

The system has at least one radio signal transmitter (16) associated with a portable operating device (14) and at least one radio signal receiver (18), especially associated with a vehicle (12). The operating device specifies command signals for different types of command that can be carried out by a control and/or evaluation unit (20) associated with the receiver. The system range can be adjusted depending on the type of a respective command.
