Hatchback system for a motor vehicle

The boot lid (32) for a motor vehicle has a lid panel (10) movable between open and closed positions and intermediate positions in which the boot is partially open. The lid has a fixing (30) which allows it to be held in the open and partially open positions. The lid fixing forms a lockable hinge and has two sections connected to the lid and bodywork respectively. The lid section can have a lockable stop.
