The stability management detects (EQUIL) that the vehicle is stationary on a slope, and holds the vehicle by activating the braking system (STAB), permitting the disengagement of the automatic clutch (SLGM). The braking system is activated initially by applying the dynamic braking system (STAB1) until the static braking system (STAB2) (the hand brake) is effectively engaged.
