At least one spring-mounted locking element (12) and one spring-mounted brake element (11) arranged on the basic support constantly press against the under side of the arm support. The locking element is locked to the arm support in the various movement positions of the arm support. Preferred Features: The basic support is formed with the arm rest holder as a hybrid part consisting of a metal support part coated with plastic.
