Hydraulic hoses

A method of routing a flexible hydraulic hose 10 between two relatively displaceable components 12 and 15, the hose having end fittings 13 & 14 at each end for connecting to a hydraulic system, with one end fitting 13 including a tube 15 having a sleeve nut 18 thereon for connection to a respective component 12. The fitting 13 further includes an anti-rotation device 23 for holding the end fitting 13 against rotation relative to the component 12, allowing the routing of the hydraulic hose to be substantially defined by applying a predetermined angular rotation to said one end fitting to induce internal stresses within the hose, and connecting said hose whilst in the stressed condition.
