Hydraulic hose assembly for bicycle

A hydraulic hose assembly 11 is provided for connecting hydraulic components of a bicycle. The hydraulic hose assembly 11 has a flexible hose 28, a rigid tubular insert 32, connecting fastener 34 and a tubular bushing 36. The compression bushing 36 surrounds the flexible hose 28 in order that the connecting fastener 34 can be tightened to compress the bushing 36 into a watertight seal. The compression bushing 36 has an annular recess 36f that is located between a pair of inclined sections 36a. The annular recess 36f is configured to limit the amount of radial expansion of the outer diameter of the bushing 36 when the hydraulic hose assembly 11 is coupled to the bicycle component.
