The four-point arm comprises an X-shaped hollow body (10) made by welding together pre-fabricated parts (11, 12, 14, 15, 17). Sockets (17) are provided on its arms and the hollow body has a cross-section which increases from the sockets towards the middle of the body. The arm has two sockets for receiving the rigid axle and two for connecting to the vehicle frame.
