A multi-page menu window (4) is displaced on a screen (5). The first and the last menu item (2) of a page (6) represent an upper or lower and/or side boundary for an input device (7) that is used to select items. When one of the boundaries is crossed, a switch (12) is superimposed for providing jump functions within the menu.
