The device has a valve control module, a connected nozzle module with an axially movable nozzle needle, a choke plate with which the valve control module bounds on the nozzle module, a spring plate at the choke plate end of the needle, a closure spring between the spring plate and needle, a needle stop and an arrangement for reducing the actual stroke of the nozzle needle depending on the deviation between the actual stroke and a defined stroke. The device has a valve control module (2), a connected nozzle module (3) with an axially movable nozzle needle (14), a choke plate (16) with which the valve control module bounds on the nozzle module, a spring plate (22) at the choke plate end of the nozzle needle, a closure spring (19) between the spring plate and needle and a needle stop. There is an arrangement (27) for reducing the actual stroke of the nozzle needle depending on the deviation between the actual stroke and a defined stroke.
