Device for holding beverage cans or similar containers in the passenger compartment of vehicles

A fitting to hold beverage can and other containers within an automobile, is at the upper section of the glove compartment (3), which has a swing lid (5). It has at least one holder which is contained within the glove compartment when not in use, and swings out in front of the instrument panel (2) for use.. The upper edge of the glove compartment lid extends to the lower edge (11) of the holder assembly (7). The beverage holder assembly has a separate and narrow flap lid (12), which is operated independently of the glove compartment lid.
