The mounting has a rubber bracket (16) with two branches (17,18), one (17) pressed against the outer surface of the windscreen and the other interposed between a sole plate (12) for the wiper drive mechanism (3) and a support plate (10) fixed by adhesive (11) to the windscreen (1).
