A fitting for an adjustable seat mounting for a vehicle has a cylindrical section with one fixed flange and one separate flange secured by a press action. The fitting locates the seat adjusting catch and control spring. The separate flange is located onto a stepped end profile of the cylindrical section and is secured by a press action which burrs over the inside part of the flange to form a firm connection. The inside edges of the disc are chamfered to allow material from the stepped profile to flow and key into the disc profile.
