The injection valve for an internal combustion engine is particularly for a common rail fuel injection system and comprises a valve housing part (4) with an inner recess which has a circular cross-section, high pressure fuel issuing through a feed hole (16) into the recess. The feed hole with a part of its inner cross-section intersects the recess of the valve housing part. The feed hole with a section (36) which extends over the valve housing part (5) turned away from the connection (3) is connected with a supply hole (8), which is connected with the injection aperture of the injection valve.
