Fuel-injection device for an internal combustion engine

DRIVE January 18, 2006
Source
The fuel injection unit for an internal combustion engine includes an electrically operated control valve through which a connection of the pump working chamber to a low pressure section (54) is controlled. The control valve during the feed stroke of the pump piston is closed to fuel injection, and open towards the ending of the fuel injection, whereby fuel under high pressure is controlled in the low pressure section. A pressure oscillation damper (62) is installed in the connection of the pump working chamber to the low pressure section between the control valve and the low pressure section.
