Frame for a vehicle sliding roof or tilt-sliding roof

The frame for a car sun roof (1) comprises an injection-molded plastic front section (12) and a metal side section (11) which is connected to the front section at the corner (13). The side section contains a channel (15) for the roof operating cable (16) which also passes through a tube (21) in the front section. There is a gap (a) between the end of the tube and the start of the channel in the side section. This is filled with plastic by injection.
