A plastic fuel container, especially for vehicles, consists of an assembly opening for internal components, a plastic closure lid, and a lid penetration for supply lines. The container consists of polyethylene (PE) and the lid (16) consists of PE over its sealing area, and of a softer plastic e.g. polyoxymethylene (POM), polyacrylate (PA), modified PE etc. with a glass fibre reinforcement, over the rest of its body.
