A vehicle seat belt, in particular a three-point seat belt has an end fitting (1), by which a belt webbing end of the seat belt is secured to the vehicle. A belt tensioner (2) acts with an engagement part (3) constructed as a pulling eyebolt on the belt webbing (4) of the seat belt in the vicinity of the end fitting (1), for the purpose of transmitting a tensioning movement to the seat belt. The engagement part (3) acts by a pulling rod (6) on the belt webbing (4) during tensioning in such a way that the pulling rod (6) forms a deflection rod for a belt loop having the effect of doubling the tensioning length.
