Intake system for an internal combustion engine
DRIVE
February 12, 2003
The intake device has esp. an air tube with its end fastened captive and detachable to an aperture in an engine component, e.g. an air filter housing (2,4). Retainer elements for fasteners (24,26) located on the aperture engage through bearing sleeves on the end of the air tube (6,8). Retainers and fasteners are formed integrally with a ring collar around the aperture. A flange on the end of the air pipe engages into the collar. The flange has a peripheral groove with sealing ring.
