Fuel tank for motor vehicle

DRIVE January 22, 2003

The fuel tank has an intermediate tank (6) to store fuel from several suction jet pumps (9, 10). The intermediate tank distributes the fuel to several swirl pots (2, 3) with supply units (4, 5). This prevents one of the supply units running dry because of transverse acceleration of the fuel tank when the vehicle is cornering.
