Gas generator for a steering wheel airbag

The gas generator (1) for an air bag mounted on a car steering wheel also acts as a vibration damper. It is connected to the air bag housing (3) by a cylindrical or frustro-conical plastic spring (2). The connections (8 - 11) consist of press studs on one component which fit through apertures on the other.
