The present invention relates to a method and system for charging at least one supercapacitor, more particularly adapted to the balancing of supercapacitors. The method comprises a step (22) of deriving the current flowing in the supercapacitor such that, when the voltage (V) across the terminals of said supercapacitor reaches a threshold voltage (VS), the derived current (IBP) takes a maximum value, said method being characterized in that it comprises a step (21) of controlling the charging current intensity (IC) of the supercapacitor as a function of the voltage (V) across the terminals of the supercapacitor by a logic function (F0) of voltage detection capable of switching from an activated state to a deactivated state when the voltage (V) across the terminals of the supercapacitor exceeds a first predefined voltage (VOH) greater than the threshold voltage (VS) and then switching back to the activated state when said voltage (V) across the terminals of the supercapacitor becomes lower than a second predefined voltage (VOB) less than or equal to the first predefined voltage (VOH).
