The carburetor, for an internal combustion motor, has an air inflow channel (2) connected at the end side (12) to the fuel combustion zone. The other end side of the air inflow channel has an entry opening (20). The flow volume control (4) has a throttle body (25) to set the flow through the channel to give the required motor power output. The throttle body is at the entry opening, to set its opening cross section against the ambient atmosphere by a relative movement between the throttle and the opening. The throttle body is a ball (27) within an inflow funnel (22) or a swing plate.
