System for monitoring a feature of a surface by reflected satellite navigation signals

System for monitoring features like altitude, wave height or dielectric properties of the surface of preferably an ocean, a lake or the sea. The system comprises an antenna for receiving navigation signals from a satellite system like Galileo, Glonass or GPS reflected from this surface. The feature to be monitored is derived from the received signals.
