Satellite navigation system with a device and method for adjusting a calculated route on the basis of current traffic events

The satellite-based navigation system has a route calculator, a Global positioning system-antenna, a location- and position estimation module for determining the current position, and receiving units which possess capacity for receiving radio signals and traffic information. The receiving units also provide and update a list with receivable transmitters. The navigation system additionally includes a data manager determines a current traffic volume depending on multiple received traffic information. An independent claim is also included for a method for adjusting a calculated route on current traffic events.
