Adhesive mounting apparatus for seals

A method for applying sealing strips to support surface, e.g. vehicle car door seals, has the seal (9) held in an adjustable jig (2,3) which presses the seal onto the support surface (10). The mounting is designed to apply pressure to the seal outside the range of the adhesive (12). To further improve the mounting process a hollow needle (16) is fitted to the jig to puncture and pressurise the seal during the adhesive application process.
