Container holder, especially for equipment of vehicle interior

The housing (5) presents an open pot or bowl receptacle with setdown surface (25) and surround or ring shape walling. When the setdown surface is closed (21) the lid bears down via the interposed flap piece (4). When the lid is open, the holding flap (4) and walling clamp an inserted container in the trough (2) and seated on the setdown surface (25). Preferably two lids (3) pivot in the center of the housing and lie close together when open with the flap (4) pointing outwards from each lid to the side. The lid locks down when closed until released by an actuator (2) composed of levers and nose which engages a bolting holder. The flap pivots round an axis parallel to that (20) of the lid (3).
