Driving belt fixation

The invention relates to a drive for a seat belt retractor for safety belts with a drive chamber formed by two parallel plates connected to one another, and with a drive belt (20) whose both ends are fastened to a drive shaft (10) in such a manner that the drive belt (20) forms a loop, wherein the drive belt (20) can be acted upon by an expanding gas exiting within the loop (22) at a gas outlet opening (26) in such a way that the drive belt (20) unwinds and thereby drives the drive shaft (10), wherein the drive belt is fixed to the plates at a location between its ends by a fixing device.
