Airbag arrangement

The air bag system has an air bag (7) in a module casing (6) in the tank region. The casing has an outlet aperture for the air bag, which when the bag is folded, is closed off by a cover element (8, 9). Parts (12, 13) of the air bag are fixed to the inside of the cover element, which is itself attached to the module casing.
