Roof unit for vehicle

The roof module has an edge section (26) which has a water channel (32) constructed in one piece with the roof module. The roof module has an outer skin (20) which extends continuously through the water channel. The roof module may be have a deep-drawn outer skin of metal, or a preformed outer skid of plastic. An expanded plastic reinforcing layer (22) is applied below the outer skin. The roof module may consist of several sections (12,14), of which at least one has a water channel.
