The seat assembly comprises two side seats one of which (3) comprises means for locking in position. These means comprise an electromagnetic suction (6,7) comprising an electromagnet (8). The suction is associated with a mechanical locking finger stop (12) which is moved into the locking position by a spring (13) and associated with an electromagnet (15).
