Panel configured as solar generator to close an opening for vehicle body

The sun roof comprises a transparent plate (1) with an array of solar cells (6) mounted underneath. These are held in place by a plastic frame (7) which is foamed in place around them. A cover plate (8) which is integral with the frame seals off the array from below.
