Side protection member for vehicle

The side impact protector for an all terrain vehicle has a closure bar (4) for a door opening (3). The bar is mounted on at last one hinge and has, at its other end, a lock. The closure bar has a movable surface (50) for full or partial closure of the door opening. The closure can be slidably mounted on the closure bar.
