The seat back has a backrest supporting at least one back cushion. The backrest is vertically adjustable and has a lower section supporting the pelvis region of the seated person, and an upper section supporting the shoulder region. The upper section is vertically adjustable in relation to the lower section. Both the lower and upper sections may be vertically adjustable, and an adjusting mechanism is provided for their simultaneous adjustment, with the upper and lower sections adjustable by different ranges of travel.
