Device for indirect lighting

An arrangement for indirect illumination of at least one coverable recess (16) is proposed. The at least one recess (16) is arranged laterally on a cockpit (10) of a motor vehicle, wherein electrical components (12) are mounted in the recess (16) and wherein the recess can be closed by a removable cover (14). The inner side of the removable cover (14) is provided with a reflecting layer (15), so that the light of a light source (17) present in the vehicle can be reflected into the recess (16) for illumination of the electrical components.
