Built-in apparatus with retaining spring

The in-car entertainment or navigation device (2) fitted into a recess (3) in the dashboard is held in place by spring mountings (5) on either side with a catch (11) which fits against the inner edge (21) of a ledge at the front of the recess. A second catch (14) on each mounting snaps down against the top of the ledge in a rear-end crash to prevent the device from being ejected.
