Trailer coupling with trailer detection

A detector device (12) determines whether a trailer (13) is using an electric feeder contact (15) allocated to a trailer coupling (10). A locking device (11) prevents a drive motor (16) from being triggered by motion in a pulling component (17) into an inactive position (18) if the detector device indicates use of the electric feeder contact by the trailer.
