Stationary multi-cylinder combustion engine

DRIVE July 24, 2002
Source
The static multi-cylinder internal combustion motor (1), and especially a gas motor to operate at least one generator (3), has a control (6) which switches off one or more cylinders selectively while running, according to at least one control signal. The control signal is dependent on the generator loading, where a generator switch (4) transmits a control signal when the generator is uncoupled. The cylinder(s) is (are) switched off by disconnecting the ignition (8).
