Method for the operation of a motor-vehicle sub-assemblies, and device for carrying out the method

The method involves starting an internal combustion engine rotating and setting a generator (1) for supplying an energy storage device (7) and/or on-board electrical system (8) in motion. The generator is started simultaneously with or delayed relative to the engine during a starting phase depending on operating parameters; a control signal is fed to a generator regulator (5) simulating an operating state of the generator's electrical machine (2).
