Arrangement for adjusting the inclination of a backrest

A spring plate (24) with toothing (26) and a fixed counter element (28) with counter toothing (30) are either fastened to backrest or seat plate. The plate toothing meshes tolerance-free with the element toothing, when in normal locking position. The spring plate has an associated actuator device (36), which is adjustable between a locking and a release position and disengages the toothings.
