Device for the combined use of data and mobile data processing device

Arrangement in which both PDA and onboard computer have an interface for communication with each other. One or both devices have an assistance function that allows a user to make data in the other device available to the device he is using. A software program supplies the assistance function. An Independent claim is made for a mobile data processing device such as a PDA that can be used to link to a motor vehicle onboard computer.
