Vehicle with a direct fuel injection combustion engine and with a device for supplying an additive
DRIVE
January 23, 2002
The engine (1) has direct fuel injection and a controllable additive input device (2). This device is connected to an air input device leading to one of the cylinder (6) of the engine. It is controlled by a control device, dependent on the operating state of the engine. The additive thus enters the combustion chamber not together with the liquid fuel, but along with the induction air.
