The internal combustion motor, with direct fuel injection, has at least one air intake channel (12) for the air feed into a cylinder (10). At least one inlet valve (13) and injection valve (14) are in the channel. A switch unit (15) in the air intake channel sets air flow cross section. The injection valve passes through the switch unit in an oval opening (16), aligned at an angle to the air flow direction (19).
