Electronic equipment with housing or frame for modules

The system has a housing or a frame (12) with several compartments (18) for accommodating modules (16) and a plug connector element (13) per compartment for connecting to a module for inserted into the compartment with a complementary connector element. All plug connector elements in the compartments are connected together via a bus (14) to which modules mounted outside the housing or frame can be connected via a second bus (15).
