Vehicle with a retaining device for its luggage compartment

The retention device (10) for the load space (C) of a combination road vehicle involves an elongated roller blind housing (11) out of which at least one netting strip (12,13,14) can be wound from a winding shaft. The netting strip with its free outer cross edge (RA) is withdrawable from the winding shaft against a set-back moment and can be tensioned between a seat installation area (E) for a vehicle seat (21,22,23) with a foldable seat back (15,16,17) and the roof inner surface (D) of the vehicle. The roller blind housing is arranged on the roof inner surface and each individual netting strip, independently from the others, is withdrawable in the direction of the seat installation area. The strips in different withdrawal lengths can be fixed against an additional withdrawal. At least each foldable seat back has a side retainer (20) for releasable fixture of the free cross edge of the netting strip.
